Our various technical climbing courses will assist and build your climbing abilities regardless of your starting skill.
Wall Climber
An introduction to climbing in the wall environment this course will give you all the skills you need to become a ‘competent climber’ at any climbing wall.
Beginners Rock
Want to ‘give it a go’ or already have some climbing wall experience? then this course is for you. This course will allow you to make the transition to climbing outside on rock and will give you the basic and foundational skills necessary to begin to enjoy the freedom of Scottish rock safely and competently.
Leading Rock
So you want to get on the sharp end! Come and learn all that’s needed to take your climbing skills to another level and make the transition to Lead Climbing.
Rocking Up
This course will enhance your climbing by concentrating on movement skills at superb bouldering venues in the National Park. Just ‘Rock Up’ with your climbing shoes and some chalk and let’s go bouldering!
Guided Rock
Let us help you fulfil your climbing aspirations with the full guided experience on classic rock climbs. There is almost a limitless supply of amazing rock routes in Scotland and we’ve guided on many routes from classic easy rock through to intermediate and even hard rock routes at many different mountain, roadside and sea cliff venues. Examples of great guided climbs include
- Agags Groove on Buachaille Etive Mor (V Diff)
- Ardverikie Wall on Binnein Shuas (HS 4b)
- Slab climbs on the Etive slabs such as Spartan Slab (VS 5a)
- Hammer (HVS 5a) and The Pause (HVS 5B)
- Harder routes such as the Needle (E1 5B) on the Shelterstone in the Cairngorms.

Trossachs Mountain Guides has all the technical equipment required for these courses except for Rock Shoes.
